On Thursday, September 26, mayor-elect Ismael Burgueño Ruiz presented the cabinet of the 25th Municipal Administration of Tijuana.

For this, he proposed as Secretary of the Interior, former councilor PAN member, Arnulfo Guerrero León, who in the current state administration led by Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda was the deputy secretary of the Secretariat of the Interior of Baja California and link to the Executive Power of the State of Baja California.

This decision must be ratified by the Administration of Tijuana, however, the municipal president-elect explained that the members that are part of his cabinet proposal are professionals with great vocational experience and academic education, committed to citizen wellbeing and the growth of the city.

"I asked of them humility, citizen assistance as it should be, no corruption. I am not going to tolerate a single act of corruption, whoever does it will not be able to continue with us in this left-wing government," Burgueño Ruiz said.

Who is Arnulfo Guerrero León?

Arnulfo Guerrero León, who has been councilor of Tijuana in three occasions, has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and has had 30 years of experience as a public servant.

In the Municipal Administration of Tijuana, he was the head of the Secretariat of Social Development and in the Administration he presided over important commissions, among them, governing and legislation, road and transportation, internal rules, human rights, migration, and indigenous affairs.

It should be noted that after his victory in the June 2nd election, Ismael Burgueño was accompanied by Guerrero León, in the activities of cooperation and binational dialogue alongside the president of the San Diego Association of Governments, Nora Vargas and the mayor of Imperial Beach, Paloma Aguirre.
