With the aim of improving air connectivity in Mexicali for the 2025 Caribbean Series, which will be held from January 31 to February 7 at El Nido de las Águilas Stadium, Secretary of Tourism Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez revealed that over 50 additional flights on 5 routes managed by Volaris are set to begin operations.
These new flights will improve air connectivity with Hermosillo, Culiacán, Los Mochis, Guanajuato, and Mexico City and make access to Mexicali easier for people coming to watch and experience the Caribbean Series, Latin America's most important sports event.
Furthermore, Aguíñiga Rodríguez highlighted that champion winter league teams from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Japan (as a special guest) will participate in this event. Therefore, thousands of baseball fans, media outlets, and international visitors are expected to visit the capital of Baja California.
These initiatives reaffirm Baja California government's commitment to boosting state connectivity. People interested in attending the 2025 Caribbean Series can buy their flights at www.volaris.com.
