Marina del Pilar supervises Alamar Node operation that will benefit more than 400,000 residents

More than 100,000 vehicles from important roads travel through this freeway every day

As part of the RESPIRA program, state governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda led the formal opening of the Alamar Node with which citizens will reduce waiting times from more than 1 hour to a period of no more than 5 minutes.

During this supervision visit, she underscored that this project had an investment of 428.45 million pesos in order to build almost a kilometer of bridge with which the flow of traffic will get resolved in four important crossings where around 100,000 vehicles travel daily.

"It took us 15 months to build this project and it wasn't easy because this engineering project is very specialized. I thank all citizens for their trust and understanding because, thanks to that, we had the opportunity to carry out the necessary works to finish this project," the governor said.

She stressed that with the complete opening of all traffic lanes, citizens will be able to save time and around 400,000 people will improve their quality of life by having more personal and family time.

The Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, explained that this project required 3 million kilos of steel, 1,500 loads of concrete, 24 supports and 72 pilings to sustain the bridge.

In addition, they worked on road solutions for the entrances to residential areas that are in the perimeter of this project, offering alternatives for entrance and exit traffic.
