A meeting in Paris, France between the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, and Safran Chief Executive Officer, Olivier Andriès, as well as other board members of this company, resulted in a 50-million-dollar investment.
This is in order to expand and create new projects for this company in Baja California, which will also result in better well-paying jobs and wellbeing for the families of the state.
This was revealed by Marina del Pilar during her tour of Safran Mexicali facilities where the board members were present. The governor recognized the commitment this world-leader company has by continuing to trust in Baja California as an ideal place to develop investments and projects, and she reaffirmed her administration’s willingness to bring judicial certainty to whoever decides to run a business in Baja California.
It should be noted that Safran also has a plant in the city of Tijuana that manufactures cabins. Thanks to expansions, an annual growth of 30% is expected in the next three years.
In addition, the estimation of workforce growth for Safran Electronics & Defense Mexicali for 2023, will be reflected with 330 to 470 new employees at the plant for 2023. Due to this, entrepreneurs highlighted the governor’s support so that they could strengthen their operating capabilities.
Next year, they also pretend to start a manufacturing project in the municipality of Mexicali which is part of Safran’s commitment to developing supply and value chains.
Lastly, Ávila Olmeda announced the repair of roads that connect the factory in Tijuana, which is how she reaffirmed the commitment of the government of Baja California to improve the wellbeing of companies in order to directly benefit the economy and all workers.
During the tour, the following people were present: the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales; Subsecretary of the Economy, Rodolfo Andrade; Ross McInnes, President of Safran’s Administration Council; Director of International and Institutional Group Relations, Alexandre Ziegler; Daniel Parfait, President of Safran in Mexico, and Edgar Ciceño, Director of Strategy of Safran.
