Baja 1000 will have historic edition from La Paz to Ensenada for the first time!

The top executives of Score International revealed new information about the Baja 1000 race, one of the most important international racing events, that will take place from November 13 to November 18, 2023.

The Secretariat of Tourism and Economy of Baja California revealed information about the event through an official release on social media about the modifications regarding the routes that competitors will have to travel.

The 56th edition of Baja 1000 will have a direction adjustment. This new edition’s race will begin in La Paz, Baja California Sur and the finish line will be in Ensenada, Baja California, after 50 years of keeping the same route and direction, it was stated during a press conference. Baja California Sur Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cossio, as well as Juan Tintos Funcke, José Grijalva, Marco Durazo, and Jimmy Ryan, representing Score International, were all present.

For her part, Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar stated that the races organized by Score International are already a part of the state’s culture, reminiscing how Baja 1000 has, on two different occasions, won the “Best Motorsports Race” award by USA Today 10 Best Readers' Choice. It has also highlighted Valle de Guadalupe as the third best wine region in the world.

This historic edition is expected to receive around 300 participants, as well as 5,000 tourists that, based on previous editions, will leave an economic revenue of $100 million pesos from November 13 to November 18, 2023.
