TIJUANA.- As an inclusive and socially responsible company, NewCity Medical Plaza joined “Punto Arcoíris” (Rainbow Location), an initiative whose goal is to provide inclusive and respectful spaces for members of the LGBTTTIQ+ community in the city of Tijuana, which is why in the last few days a symbolic event took place where they set the corresponding emblems of this program promoted by the XXIV Municipal Administration of Tijuana.

Yuridia Sánchez, Administrative Director of NewCity Plaza, mentioned that “all brands that are a part of Grupo Abadi constitute an inclusive and socially responsible enterprise, which is why we are very happy to join this initiative where we reaffirm that all people who visit can feel safe in knowing that this is an environment full of respect and zero discrimination,” she emphasized.

For her part, Regina Cornejo Manzo, Subdirector of Diversity and Inclusion of the XXIV Municipal Administration of Tijuana thanked and recognized NewCity Medical Plaza for joining the “Punto Arcoíris” initiative so as to contribute to an authentic Tijuana for everyone, a multicultural and diverse city in which the LGBTTTQI+ community is recognized as a completely integrated community to the social and economic development of the border.

“Today we are beginning this Punto Arcoíris program at facilities as important as the NewCity Medical Plaza. We are telling the LGBTTTQI+ community that here you can shine with your own colors and be authentic. Nobody will disrespect you here,” the official stated.

After the ceremony, several emblems corresponding to the program “Punto Arcoíris” were delivered, which were set up in NewCity Plaza including in the restaurant “Farmer’s Table Mexico” located here.

NewCity Medical Plaza, located in Tijuana, is 500 meters (1/3 of a mile) away from the US border and is one of the most important health tourism facilities in the northeastern part of the country, which already has a commercial plaza, gastronomic area, tower with over 30 specialized doctors, and will soon have a hospital that will have the most state-of-the-art technology.

Recently, NewCity Medical Plaza received an award given by the Secretariat of Tourism of Mexico for being an innovative model as a comprehensive ecosystem of health services and wellbeing in our country, as well as being one of the most important projects in all of Latin America regarding this issue.
