On this episode of Una Mordida Tacos Rosarito, our host Chef Danny Betancourt went to “Tacos Daniela” located in Blvd. Benito Juárez, 22706. On this occasion, he tried two tacos: a carne asada taco and an adobada taco, both priced at $1.42 dollars ($27 pesos).
Adobada Taco
This taco has adobada meat, cilantro, onion, guacamole, and is served on two packaged corn tortillas. The first thing that Chef Danny said about this taco was that the grease dripped from the taco just by lifting it, and when he took his first bite, he confirmed this.
The meat was a little overdone in regards to its flavor as it was directly griddled to the point that it was burned. This makes the flavor of the adobo on the protein bitter. The tortillas, as they were store bought, were lacking in both flavor and thickness. The good thing about this taco is that they used pure avocado flesh, which is why this taco gets a rating of 7.0.

Carne Asada Taco
This taco has carne asada, onion, cilantro, guacamole, and is served on a handmade corn tortilla. The first thing to highlight about this taco was the tortilla. Unlike the adobada taco, this tortilla was handmade which changes both its texture and flavor. In addition, this taco had authentic guacamole.
Both the tortilla and the guacamole helped these tacos stand out. One thing that left a lot to be desired was the meat as, alongside the adobada, it was overdone, which made it lose its humidity and made it feel dry. In addition, there was no marinade besides salt and pepper. This is why this taco gets a rating of 6.8.
