Adobada taco from “La Pasadita” in Rosarito will leave you speechless

However, there was something in the other taco that didn’t help it much

In this episode of Una Mordida Tacos Rosarito, our host Chef Danny Betancourt visited “Tacos La Pasadita” located in Machado Nte. 22703 in Rosarito’s main boulevard. This time two tacos were tried: a carne asada taco and an adobada taco both priced at $1.25 dollars (25 pesos).

Carne Asada Taco

This was the first taco that Chef Danny tasted. It has carne asada (grilled beef), onion, coriander, watery guacamole, a handmade tortilla, and the famous “huevona” sauce made out of tomato, onion, jalapeño pepper, coriander, and water all blended raw. The tortilla had a good size and the taco also had a good amount of meat in it.

The first thing Chef Danny noticed is that the tortilla was very thin and didn’t really have an intense corn flavor. It was very soft and tender, like a recently made tortilla directly from the skillet. In the meat, one can notice the types of coals used (unlike other taquerias where one notices firewood), as well citrus fruits and the seasoning and marinated flavors. The sauce had a nice taste and it wasn’t too spicy. The only minus in this taco was the amount of watery guacamole, which is why this taco gets a rating of 8.1.

Adobada Taco

This taco has adobada meat with a very intense red color, guacamole, onion, coriander, and bird’s beak chile sauce, with Chef Danny noticing that the tortilla was handmade the moment he touched it. The first bite left Danny speechless due to its great flavor since one can savor the notes of every pepper and spice used in the adobo.

Besides, the meat was at the exact flavor point: it was very juicy, well cooked, but also a little bit fried outside. The handmade tortilla was the ideal supplement to this meat. The sauce was just about to be spicy, so it was quite tolerable, which makes it ideal. Because of all of this, this taco gets a rating of 9.0.
