In this episode of Taco Bites, our host, Isaac Kalimos, continues his quest for the best tacos in San Diego, trying the second taco from Super Cocina, located at 3627 University Ave San Diego, CA. In the first installment, he tried an unusual mole taco with cream and cotija cheese, so we'll see what he thinks about today's taco, which is carnitas.

You must remember the Taco Bites regulations, including eating standing up and taking two bites of the taco before making a final decision, as stated in the tagline "One Taco, Two Bites."

This taco features coriander, onion, carnitas that aren't dry or overdone, and a red sauce with a few drops of lemon that Isaac added. When he tasted them, he said the carnitas were perfect, meaning they had the appropriate amount of fat and a golden brown texture on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside.

He went on to say that the sauce adds a great touch to the taco since it doesn't overpower the meat's flavor, and the spicy flavor doesn't spoil the taco too much but instead helps you appreciate it even more. Although the tortillas at this taqueria are not handmade, the size and flavor are good; this taco received an 8.2 rating.
