The return of massive events to Baja California has been the perfect time to hold the most important gastronomic festival in all of Mexico, and what better place than the Valle de Guadalupe to host it

Sabor a Valle will take place on August 28th and 29th at Bodegas del Valle. More than 30 local, national and international chefs will gather there to offer the public an unbeatable culinary experience.

The announcement was made at the Emerald Room of the Quartz Hotel where Ivette Casillas, Secretary of Tourism of the state of Baja California; Fernando Becerra, director of innovation and development of Calimax Group; chef Rodrigo Martinez, director of CHF Productions, the mastermind behind the organization of the event, and chef Ruffo Ibarra, who serves as ambassador of Sabor a Valle, attended the event.

Positioned as one of the states that has recovered the fastest from the pandemic, increasing the chain of sanitary protocols, Baja California is now placed in an important scenario where the entire northwest coast of the country has been reactivated thanks to the vaccination, which has generated the return of massive events that give great tourist value to the region.

The event will have a pavilion dedicated to seafood products, where fresh fish and seafood will be prepared by different chefs.

Special gastronomic guests will be chefs Poncho Cadena, Lula Martín del Campo, Ruffo Ibarra, Ilean Padilla, Gianina Gavaldon, Esteban Lluis, Luis Gómez, Alberto Collarte, Antonio De Livier.

The grill competition will be sponsored by Calimax and Max Grill, who will provide all the protein for the event, including a 650-kilo cow and many select cuts from Mexicali. A total of 4 tons of meat will be served.

This 2021 Grupo Calimax celebrates 75 years since its founding and currently has 100 stores in the state. Fernando Becerra was proud of its beginnings as a small butcher shop located in Zona Centro, which over time became a large supermarket chain.

Presented by Grupo Concordia and American Express, Sabor a Valle will showcase the virtues of craft beer, wine and the region's most special dishes, as Baja California has become one of the world's greatest gastronomic capitals thanks to its heritage.

The organizers highlighted the strict sanitary protocols to be implemented, which will guarantee the safety of the attendees. Around 4 thousand people are expected to attend on the first day and around 3 thousand on the second day. According to them, it was an extremely difficult event to organize but it will be completely worth it.

Tastings and tours to different wineries will be part of what Sabor a Valle will offer.

The musical part could not be left out, so there will be live performances from great artists.

Originally from Tijuana, the group Tren a Marte will perform on Saturday, August 28 with their "Sweet Dreams Tour", where they will play songs by Queen, Bee Gees, Ray Charles, and their wide selection of hits that have positioned them in the public's taste.

On the same day, La Original Sonora Dinamita and Brazilian singer Daniel Boaventura will take the stage presenting his "10 años Tour".

On Sunday 29th a country brunch is expected in the morning, and in the evening people will be delighted with the voice and bohemian romanticism of Nicho Hinojosa.

According to Ivette Casillas, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Baja California, it will be "A first class event where you can enjoy all the goodness that Baja California has; because we are the capital of gastronomy, the capital of craft beer and the capital of wine production".
