State tourism authorities celebrated the development of Baja California’s food tourism. This has resulted in two special publications in Mexico Desconocido (Mexico Unknown) and Food and Travel Mexico.

The “Baja California Culinary Guide” by Mexico Desconocido, offers options ranging from the border all the way to the south of the state and reviews the most prestigious restaurants as well as loncherias and urban food. The publication has an initial print of 35,000 copies that will be distributed around Mexico.

On the other hand, “Food & Travel: Baja California Edition” has an initial print run of 30,000 copies that will be distributed around Mexico and is completely dedicated to Baja California with a special emphasis on its culinary and touristic offers, traveling around the state’s seven destinations: Tijuana, Ensenada, San Quintin, Tecate, Playas de Rosarito, San Felipe and Mexicali.

Both publications were presented during the “Baja California Culinary” event. Sales Director of Mexico Desconocido, Maria del Carmen Dominguez, emphasized that the guide, which was put together over the course of three months, will also be available in English and will be presented in various European countries.

She shared that innovating and playing around with natural products, and accepting culinary and cultural influences at the border has been the secret that has allowed Tijuana to create a movement that grows and captivates a larger number of pleasure seekers every day.
