This magical place in Downtown Tijuana will also feature live music, delicious food, Christmas characters, and activities for the whole family.

Christmas season has arrived in Tijuana and now the city has transformed into a winter wonderland full of magic and family entertainment.

This year, the Christmas Village at Avenida Revolución has become one of the city's major attractions offering Tijuana natives and visitors a free magical experience like no other.

Fun on Ice: Free Ice Rink Opens

The Christmas Village Ice Rink, located between 6th and 7th Streets in Downtown Tijuana, was officially inaugurated on Saturday, December 7.

Children and adults alike can enjoy this ice rink that will be available until January 6, 2025 from Monday through Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Organizers will provide visitors with the necessary equipment so they can experience ice skating free of charge!

What to expect at the Christmas Village?

The Christmas Village spans several streets at Avenida Revolución from 4th to 7th Streets in Downtown Tijuana, and offers a variety of activities for people of all ages.

Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, dancers, and shows that will delight locals and tourists alike.

Don’t miss one of the Christmas Village’s most impressive symbols: the towering Coca-Cola Christmas Tree. Get into the Christmas spirit and take all the pictures you can at this beautiful and merry spot!

Lucha libre and chess fans, this is for you: you can visit both a ring and special areas for chess matches all in the same location. Add a touch of adrenaline and strategic thinking to these holiday celebrations!

Plus, there will be great gastronomic offerings with food stands and seasonal delicacies from hot beverages to desserts.

The Christmas village will also feature the season's most beloved characters: The Grinch, Santa Claus, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse will all appear here ready to pose for photos and entertain all children.

Finally, one of the event’s many surprises is free weddings for people 18 years or older.

Avenida Revolución's Ongoing Transformation

This Christmas event aims to revitalize Downtown Tijuana through efforts carried out and boosted by the 25th City Hall. One of their primary goals is to create spaces where families can gather and entertain themselves free of charge.

Through free and accessible activities, the Christmas Village aims to provide a space where everyone can enjoy live shows and the winter holidays.

"We invite all Tijuana natives to come and have fun with their families and friends at the Christmas Village. It is time to come together and celebrate," Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana said.

During the Ismael Burgueño administration, the Mayor and the Coordinator of Strategic Projects, Carlos Torres Torres, have transformed Avenida Revolución to showcase the best of the Tijuana. First, a tourist walkway where visitors can enjoy an assortment of cultural, artistic, gastronomic, and handcrafted offerings was built from 4th Street to 7th Street.

More recently, a threshold welcoming people to Tijuana's Historic Downtown and a free two-story carrousel were both set up. The carrousel, however, has been temporarily removed to make way for the ice rink.
