The Secretariat of Security and Municipal Citizen Protection, together with the three levels of government, announced the execution of the "Diciembre Seguro" (Safe December) operation with the aim of protecting Tijuana natives during the holiday season.

Under Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana’s orders, this operation will consist of a series of actions that will provide support to forces on the ground. Some of these actions include comprehensive and coordinated strategies, constant virtual surveillance by cameras from the C2 Center of Control, Surveillance, and Municipal Command, and aerial patrolling from this agency's drones.

Furthermore, preventive patrolling and tactical operations will be bolstered in high-priority areas, shopping malls, and banks with the aim of safeguarding Tijuana's residents.

Secretary of Security Juan Manuel Sánchez Rosales has reaffirmed his commitment to carry out these actions to protect the city so that families can shop and celebrate these winter holidays in peace.
