Governor Marina del Pilar's third government report to take place this Friday in Tijuana

This border city will learn all about the progress made by the state governor during the first half of her term.

Since taking office on November 1, 2021, Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar has firmly committed to people from the state's municipalities. As proof of this, her Third Government Report, in which she will share the significant progress made during the first three years of her administration, will take place in Tijuana on Friday, November 8.

Governor Marina del Pilar and her constant commitment to Tijuana

Throughout her 3 years as state governor, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda has looked for ways to improve the quality of life of people through several different projects and aid programs encompassing a great variety of aspects of Tijuana natives' lives. Here are some of the main ones:

Tarjeta Violeta, a program that supports women

With a firm approach based on the continuous support of women, the fight for gender equality, and the elimination of the wage gap, Governor Marina del Pilar implemented vital initiatives such as Tarjeta Violeta (Violet Card). Thanks to this measure, thousands of Tijuana native women, especially mothers, receive economic aid to pay for their daily expenses.

Tijuana has a new General Hospital in the Eastern Zone

Thanks to the constant improvement of the city's public hospitals and the establishment of the Bienestar system's mobile and permanent clinics, the city offers quality medical care, consultations, procedures, and medicine supplies for free. Since its implementation in 2021, this system has benefited more than 1.2 million citizens.

New medical centers and hospitals, such as the latest General Hospital in Tijuana's Eastern Zone, have also been built to improve the region's health infrastructure. This hospital has modern installations and highly trained medical staff, providing citizens with first-rate medical care.

Aid for the city's vulnerable groups

To fight poverty, Governor Marina del Pilar has fought the inequality gap, supporting the city's most vulnerable neighborhoods and providing constant economic aid to all age groups: students, young adults, single mothers, and seniors.

Free food in the city's schools with the "Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento" program

Through the "Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento" program, Tijuana's students in public state schools from vulnerable areas have received nutritious and hot breakfasts to boost their growth and provide them with the necessary energy for their studies. Regarding the implementation of this program, Governor Marina del Pilar claimed the following:

All the meals of the Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento program are delicious and have all the necessary nutrients so that children can learn and feel happy when they eat breakfast.

Green spaces in the city with new Parque Esperanto

Quality of life is also related to people's natural environment and surroundings, which is very important for Governor Marina del Pilar. She has stressed the importance of green spaces in the city and promoted the construction of Parque Esperanto.

Located near Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez, this restored space is set to be a great place for Tijuana's families to enjoy their free time and weekends together. This park will include a children's playground, a cycling road, a 1,500-square-meter walkway, and a pet area.

The programs implemented by the Marina del Pilar administration aim to support all Tijuana natives and guarantee an improvement in their quality of life. With a focus on the city's continuous development, constant progress in Tijuana is planned for the next three years, with projects that will continue to benefit the community long-term.
