Expo TlaquepArte has arrived in Rosarito with authentic treasures from 16 countries from all over the world

This cultural celebration that will take you on a journey around the world will take place at the Baja California Center in Rosarito from September 6 to September 9

Expo TlaquepArte opened its gates this Friday, September 6 at the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito, beginning 4 days full of gastronomy, clothes, jewelry, and culture. This event is one of Mexico's most important handicraft events, where visitors will be able to enjoy an exhibit that mixes history and tradition.

From colorful sombreros vueltiaos to Colombian coffee to authentic Turkey mosaic lamps, this handicraft diversity promises to dazzle thousands of visitors in its halls full of art and items. Admission is free, and it will be open from 10:30 AM to 7 PM.

Around 16 countries and 23 Mexican states will be represented at this cultural event, among them Egypt, Cuba, Turkey, Peru, Colombia, Queretaro, Oaxaca, and the indigenous native Kumiai people. Here you'll be able to enjoy the event's gastronomic offerings which include salsas, cheese, mole, mezcal, ice cream, and much more.

One of the most significant aspects of this event is the impeccable work by artisans from each country, who manage to leave a unique and easy to identify print in all of their works. 200 exhibitors will participate at Expo TlaquepArte, offering a great variety of products and creations.

Authentic treasures from international cultures

Handcrafted Egyptian products will be showcased on the stands of the 10th edition of Expo TlaquepArte 2024. There will be iconic elephants, symbols of power and strength associated with ancient pharaohs and there will also be clothes, massagers, and mirrors from Egypt, which will offer visitors the chance to buy and learn more about this rich culture.

On the other hand, 3,000 products from Turkey will embellish this cultural celebration. There will be handcrafted pieces such as mosaic lamps with a bronze base and naturally colored crystals that guarantee their durability. You'll also find dazzling jewelry and coffee pots called "cezve" that represent some of the treasures from this country located between Asia and Europe.

From there, we go to the Caribbean Sea and arrived in Cuba, where you will be surrounded by carved wooden pieces and classic Cuban rumberos. One of their most significant handcrafted products is made from mahogany and passionflower and it includes choral, fish, and reef-shaped pieces that symbolize the need to protect marine habitats.

Colombia is another country represented at Expo TlaquepArte, and here they will be selling Colombian pieces such as 18 carat locks, wild cane sombreros, vueltiao sombreros, and earrings from natural materials such as coconut, melon seeds, and flowers.

A gastronomic journey through Mexican states

Expo TlaquepArte will showcase a wide assortment of products, especially gastronomic ones that reflect the wealth and diversity of Mexican cuisine. Offerings including savory flavors such as cheese and homemade salsas and classic sweets and mezcal.

At this exhibit, you'll find handicrafts and jewelry from all over the world and have the chance to try out products from different regions of Mexico such as Puebla, Oaxaca, and Guerrero.

Our country is highly regarded when it comes to handicrafts especially due to its amazing artistic designs which include sombreros, clothes, decorative figurines, and bags.
