Mayor Montserrat Caballero delivers clear track record to IEEBC

IEEBC counselors recognized the mayor of Tijuana's commitment with being held accountable

The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, delivered her Second Governmental Report to the counselors of the State Electoral Institute of Baja California (IEEBC), in an act of transparency and accountability, just as she has always done since the first day of her administration.

"Today we are here to be held accountable; as I have always said, a clear track record equals a long administration, which is why I am proud as a mayor and as a person to be here with my entire cabinet to deliver this second report where we accomplished all of our planned goals," the mayor said.

During the ceremony of the delivery of this document to the IEEBC chairman counselor, Luis Alberto Hernández Morales, the executive secretary of the organization, Raúl Guzmán Gómez, and all counselors, Caballero Ramírez recalled how two years ago she came to this institution with a commitment that has resulted today in concrete actions.

"We have to fulfill a commitment that two years ago was only an illusion; in front of you, we are committing ourselves to continue accepting responsibility for the actions of this government and today's not the exception. Words are gone with the wind, that's why we came here with written words, words done by a lot of work, by a lot of people, and, above all, with a lot of trust," she said.

The document was delivered to IEEBC counselors, said Caballero Ramírez, and it has all the actions carried out throughout these two years which are aligned with the five pillars that "guide our public, inclusive, open, and fully transparent work."

IEEBC chairman counselor, Luis Alberto Hernández Morales, recognized the mayor of Tijuana for delivering her government report for second year in a row, claiming that "a speech can inspire, but an example can carry you" and now them, as an electoral organization, will be the ones who will carry out this accountability act so that citizens have access to this information. The mayor underscored that Tijuana is ranked 4th regarding transparency nationwide, which is why this time is not the exception in following this policy.

In addition, she thanked the work of those who are part of the 24th Municipal Administration and the support of the councilors the municipality, as thanks to their trust they have been able to carry out actions to benefit Tijuana which are included in the Second Governmental Report.

Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez was accompanied by the heads of the Secretariat of the 24th Municipal Administration of Tijuana, councilors, municipal delegates, and directors.
