The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, and the Consul of Mexico in New York, Jorge Islas López, met with the Council of the Americas where specialists and representative investors from all over the American continent spoke about the logistic and geographic advantages that Baja California has to offer for new international investments. In addition, they spoke about the continuous improvement by workers of the state who have specialized to resolve the challenges currently affecting the industry.
With these actions, the state governor highlighted that relations are becoming closer with representatives of the economic sector of several countries of the American continent, which means better job sources short, medium, and long-term as well as substantial improvements in the quality of life of Baja Californian families.
Marina del Pilar spoke before the Council of the Americas that Baja California has positioned itself as an ideal space in North America as it not only has a perfect geographical location to introduce products into the United States but that important actions have been applied to boost human capital, which makes it ideal to set up new industrial projects.
The governor highlighted that, besides the United States, it is important to establish commercial and economic relations with other countries in this continent in order to take advantage of what the region has to offer to promote prosperity among the people of the Americas, especially in developing nations.
In addition, she said that with Islas López they agreed to the labor and economic inclusion of Baja Californian people living in this US City, to add the state to the 2023 Day of the Dead celebrations, and to promote Baja Californian professionals in activities by the Mexican Consulate.
Governor Marina del Pilar thanked the support of the government of Mexico led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, the Mexican Consul in New York, and the Mexican Ambassador in the United States, Esteban Moctezuma, for all the support they have offered the government of Baja California to promote the state worldwide.
