#49: Rosetta

Located at Colonia Roma Norte in Mexico City, Rosetta offers a menu that varies according to the season with Mexican ingredients being the highlight. Its chef, Elena Reygadas, has been recognized as the best chef of 2023. In her personal quest, Reygadas has managed to reflect the biodiversity of Mexico and its exquisite culture in the dishes of this restaurant. Some of the highlights of this menu include the sweet potato tamale with matcha salsa and whey and its delicious lamb steak with peas and sprouts. Don’t forget the dessert, as they offer an avocado and plum sorbet that will surprise you.

#13: Pujol

Pujol, the first project by Enrique Olvera opened its doors in 2000. Olvera’s cuisine is constantly evolving taking ideas from several sources and reinterpreting them with his personal touch. The culinary proposal at Pujol is based on high-quality ingredients and on several Mexican cuisine techniques. This restaurant is open from 1:30 PM to 10 PM and is located at Tennyson 133, Polanco, Polanco IV Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, in Mexico City. Some of its outstanding dishes include the chayote slices, kampachi ceviche with cacahuazintle and yuzu, the al pastor octopus gringa, and sliced seabass.

#9: Quintonil

Also located in Mexico City, Quintonil is the emblem of a gastronomic project led by Alejandra Flores and Jorge Vallejo, whose goal is to express the flavors of Mexican ingredients through a personal outlook. Though it opened in 2012, Quintonil has been in The 50 Best World’s Restaurants list since 2015. The menu changes depending on the season and currently you will be able to enjoy a summer menu. One of its most recommended dishes is the stone crab in green thick chili sunflower seed sauce, Thai lime, and basil, accompanied with blue maize.
