Saving money is one of the main goals of many Mexican families, especially with inflation and the constant increase of prices of the necessary grocery products to supply homes.
In order to help people with this task, the Federal Consumer Agency (PROFECO) reveals every week a list of the supermarkets with the highest and lowest prices in the country.
Tijuana has a wide variety of supermarkets and people can choose their favorite chain or store. However, since there are so many different options, it is hard to completely know the price differences between them.
In today’s morning press conference, Ricardo Sheffield revealed the prices of the basic basket where it was shown that the Soriana Híper located at Plaza Río Tijuana is Tijuana’s most expensive supermarket as it offers its basic basket at a price of $956.30 pesos.
On the other hand, Soriana Súper located at Rampa Ruiz Cortínez s/n in Colonia Libertad was shown as the cheapest supermarket as the basic basket has a price of $921.60 pesos.
