The Marina del Pilar administration continues working to legally recover the 123 million pesos from the photovoltaic plant project, which was not completed as they lacked proper permits, that are currently being withheld by Banca Afirme.

As such, the state administration highlighted the efforts by the Judicial Branch of the State of Baja California, especially supervisory judge, María de Jesús Acosta Sumarán, who issued the arrest warrant for two executives of Banca Afirme who didn’t show up at the judicial hearing which took place in Mexicali.

It should be noted that the government of Baja California has properly followed up the report filed before the State Attorney General’s Office, which led to criminal case 5312/2022 with Unique Case Number (NUC) 02-2022-10453.

The Judicial Commission informed that the accused, Nabor "N" and David "N", must respond for their crime of withholding abuse, which consists of not returning an asset when it is formally required. It should be noted that the hearing where this charge will be submitted will take place on January 26, 2023 at 9 AM.

In addition, the commitment of the administration led by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda has been highlighted as they have closely watched over the efficient use of public assets to get the maximum benefit from them to help all members of society.

This is the property in Valle de Mexicali where company Next Energy was going to build a photovoltaic plant without any permits or sustainability studies and, as such, the project was never built.
