During today’s (Monday, October 24) national press conference, during the participation of the head of PROFECO Ricardo Sheffield, called “Who’s Who”, he spoke about the establishments that are selling the 24 basic basket products within the established parameters and those who haven’t complied with these agreements.

Speaking about the northern part of the country, Walmart is among those who have kept their prices the highest. With prices at $1,039 pesos, Walmart Sonora was the store with the highest prices in the market, while in the state of Nuevo Leon, company Merco, had the most affordable prices in the city of Monterrey with prices at $923,36 pesos.

In the state of Baja California, the city of Tijuana had the highest and lowest prices of the state. Walmart Hipódromo was once again the most expensive commercial establishment with prices at $1,037 pesos, while Soriana Súper at Colonia Libertad had the lowest prices, benefitting Tijuana natives, with prices at $973.80 pesos.

Walmart Hipódromo has distinguished itself by being one of the most expensive locations regarding the country’s basic basket prices.
