Walmart in Plaza Galerías has the highest prices in all of Tijuana

This was revealed when Mexico’s basic basket prices were shared

Prices of products consumed by Mexican families is a very important topic. Depending on them, people will decide what to spend their money on so that it is used more efficiently so they can buy the necessary groceries.

Due to this, the head of the Federal Consumer Agency (PROFECO), Ricardo Sheffield Padilla shares week after week, on his “Who’s Who in Prices” section, information about the basic basket prices in the country: where it is more expensive and where is cheaper.

This Monday, the Walmart supermarket located at Plaza Galerías in Tijuana was on the list of the stores with the most expensive basic basket prices in the northern area of the country (Baja California, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Sonora, and Tamaulipas) with a total price of $1,084 pesos.

Sheffield shared that both potatoes (which are being allowed to be imported for the first time) and onions are having a greater pressure as their prices have risen. According to CONEVAL, the basic basket consists of 24 articles which are estimated to be enough for a family of four members for a week.
