Giuliana Flores is a very talented Mexican singer and songwriter who, despite being born in San Diego, was raised in Tijuana where her love of music began when she was 13 years old. She has played at dozens of shows and after-parties in events such as the Grammy and Billboard Awards.

Currently, she is promoting her new single “Me Rompe el Corazón” (It Breaks My Heart) where she shows a mix of modern rhythms and classical Mexican composition. Flores said that when she started playing her guitar, during puberty, she translated her experiences through music in situations such as having a crush for the first time or having her heart broken.

Giuliana stated that, though she is a little “cheesy”, she promised herself to follow the call of inspiration which she has continued to do for the last several years.

When she was around 19 years old, she played with her band on several stages and this growth led to the recording of her first album and singles, bringing new songs into the world.

Giuliana’s current inspirations vary from day-to-day situations to world events such as global warming or immigration, which is something that happens often in Tijuana since it is an immigration and border city. One of her songs, “Calor de Fuego” (Fire Heat) is inspired on both sides of the border (California, USA and Baja California). This title is inspired by its Latin version which is something that is so hot that it is like an oven or fire itself.
