Luis Moreno Hernández is named Tijuana Rent Collector by Marina del Pilar

Supervision, Modernization, and Transparency are among the management's top goals.

Due to the directives of the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda, Luis Moreno Hernández was named as Revenue Collector in Tijuana with authority over the coastal area on Tuesday.

The official stated that Supervision, Modernization, and Transparency of the Collection System in the State's Coastal Zone are among his management's objectives and that they are vital actions in the Governor's goal of battling all types of corruption.

In the same vein, he stated that she would work with the appropriate authorities to expedite any probe into any illegal behavior that has occurred, emphasizing his commitment to reinforce the rule of law.

Moreno Hernández noted that in the past, specific dynamics opened the door to parties interested in conducting business with public funds, which the present government, led by vila Olmeda, would fight promptly, updating the method of doing politics.

She went on to say that particular efforts would be taken to modernize and simplify the procedures that are carried out because this is not only a direct benefit to the citizens who visit the offices, but it is also a valuable method for eradicating corruption.

It should be remembered that Luis Moreno Hernández served on the XIX Tijuana City Council and as a Deputy in the XXII and XXIII Legislatures of the State Congress, where he was a staunch defender of citizens against the corruption of then-governor PAN player Francisco Kiko Vega during his first term as a legislator.

Another aspect worth mentioning is that Moreno Hernández served on the Public Expenditure Supervision Commission as a member of the local legislative body, where he was instrumental in monitoring state resources.
