In Mexicali, the governor begins investment initiatives.
The Governor inaugurated the Walmart Distribution Center (CENDIS) in Mexicali on Wednesday afternoon, with a private investment of more than one billion pesos, creating more than 400 direct jobs in a unit of 136 thousand square meters with a capacity of three million boxes, equivalent to mobilizing 60 thousand cargo trucks.

She also oversaw the start-up of the Mohawk company's facility, which includes a vinyl flooring factory with an initial investment of two billion pesos in collaboration with its Daltile subsidiary.

The facility, built near the Puebla de Mexicali ejido, would create over 400 direct employment for the neighborhood and manufacture over 14 million square meters of high-tech flooring. A second stage is planned for the surrounding lands in 2023, which would treble output and create employment.

In this regard, Governor Marina del Pilar emphasized her confidence in making a big investment that will have a significant economic spillover in the area where the Mexicali Valley begins and the creation of direct and indirect job opportunities.
