Through Tik Tok a challenge called "Blackout challenge" is circulating, which consists of placing some object around the neck until you stop breathing for a few minutes, and even a person can help the person who accepted the challenge to stop breathing.
In view of this situation, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) in Baja California issued a cyber alert not to share or accept the "Blackout Challenge", minors being the most vulnerable to this challenge.
Cybernetic agents from the Intelligence Center of the State Security and Investigation Guard (GESI), recommend parents to be aware of the games or challenges their children may be exposed to in their environment, social media or Internet.
This action can cause physical damage due to lack of oxygen to the brain, or can cause death by suffocation.
So far, in the city of Tijuana the death of a 9 year old minor who tried to perform the challenge has been reported, a death due to the viral challenge, so parents are urged to have close supervision of what their children do on social media.
