The outlook does not seem promising for the COVID-19 pandemic, health and emergency services during January 2021.

The director of the Tijuana Red Cross, Alberto Quintanar, indicated that "this month of January is going to be complicated," referring to the high demand for ambulances and cases attended to in their hospitals during December.

The institution was able to attend up to 25 COVID-19 cases, in comparison to 13 in the previous months.

The maximum peak of medical care for the new coronavirus was up to 40 per day. Adding up since May, there have been a thousand services related to this disease.

The Red Cross hospitals have never refused to provide service to patients, even in their moments of high saturation, however, the process takes longer and therefore they are treated a little later.
