Private hospitals in Tijuana that accept patients with COVID-19 are overcrowded

It is not only public institutions that face the problem, basically the entire health system is like this

Photographs of the huge lines that have to be made to enter different public health institutions are circulating on social media, however, these are not the only ones facing the problem, also private hospitals are filling up, to the extent of not accepting more COVID-19 patients.

The hospital network of Axa Seguros indicates that in all of Baja California, there are 11 private hospitals that will accept patients with coronavirus. Three of these are in Tijuana, Hospital del Prado, Florence Medical Center and Excel Medical Center.

However, in a list that is updated daily, it was reported that there is no longer room in any of these, neither for serious patients who need intensive care, nor for patients with mild diseases. At the moment of requesting information directly from the hospitals, they confirmed the update: they are saturated.

So it doesn't matter if you have health insurance, the fact is that hospitals are full of coronavirus cases and cannot afford to admit anyone else. In addition to the above, the Facebook group "Tijuana Vs Covid-19" also reported this situation days ago.

This group is made up of people who have suffered from severe to mild coronavirus, there are also doctors who work in private and public institutions and constantly provide information about the situation of COVID-19 in Tijuana.

They recommend exposing themselves as little as possible, not self-medicating, and as soon as their oxygen saturation drops below 90, to seek help directly from a public hospital.
