Mark Morgan, a senior official who serves as the U.S. Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), reports that many criminals try to trick officials, but they cannot trick the nose of the K9 Bruno canine binomial.

Today they report the discovery they made after discovering methamphetamine in a shipment containing powdered drinks imported from Mexico. This discovery took place in Cincinnati last September 16th.

A total of 15 pounds of methamphetamine was found, with an estimated value of $230,400.

Currently the CBP program has 1500 canines, and is the largest police canine program in the country. They are trained to detect: hidden humans, narcotics, coins, firearms, among other search, trace and rescue disciplines.

CBP is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the administration, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between official ports of entry.
