The colossal marine animal, the gray whale, is already back on the coasts of Ensenada, heading south for its mating process and to receive all the new calves.
This was confirmed by Guillermo Palafox Maldonado, member of the boats dedicated to take tourists to whale watching in the Port of Ensenada.
Each year, these huge whales return, but this time they got earlier, at least compared to previous years when their presence was seen at the end of December, month in which the sighting begins.
The reason for the early arrival of the gray whales is still unknown, but according to Palafox, global warming may be influencing these changes.
Given this, the tours for sightings are now available for those who want to meet these huge mammals.
In support of the family economy, tourist boats have decided to maintain the same price as last year, despite the increase in fuels continued during this year.
The whales travel around 560 miles to reach warmer waters and you can witness this odyssey.
