Today is National Hamburger Day!

Celebrate it by eating one

We all love them, some have bacon, some have extra cheese and some are for vegetarians, however you may enjoy them, hamburgers have been a must within the American diet for decades, which is why today we celebrate National Hamburger Day!

Although hamburgers originated in Hamburg, Germany (hence the name), eating a burger on a bun is actually an American tradition, with hamburgers as we know being invented in Seymour, Winsconsin and each year the city has an annual event called Burger Fest.

The world's largest hamburger made its debut in 2002 and weighed 8,266 pounds.

So whether you eat them often or just once a month, treat yourself today and enjoy a hamburger!
