SAN DIEGO - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente will once again participate in the yearly summer event known as the San Diego Clasico. This year event organizers have set up a double header for fans to enjoy bringing in two of Mexico's "Top Four" clubs; Club America and Cruz Azul.

For the second year in a row the event will be held in the home of the San Diego Padres, Petco Park in downtown San Diego. It will be on Saturday July 12th. The first match is scheduled to kickoff at 5:00pm local time and it will be the 11 time Mexican league champions Club America facing second division Dorados of Sinaloa.

Following that match at 8:00pm local time a rematch of the CONCACAF Champions League semifinal between Club Tijuana and Cruz Azul will take place in the second of two matches in the night.

In last year's San Diego Clasico Tijuana Xolos got a big 5-2 win over Club America, the two sides met once again in the winter in the similar Los Angeles Clasico were they ended in a 3-3 draw. The Xoloitzcuintles will face Cruz Azul for the first time in such preseason friendly event having previously played against Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA, and Club America.
