Tijuana Xolos go on vacation

The team returns to work on June 4th.

TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente players and staff are all free on vacation starting today until June 4th said an official press release.

The team just finished their participation in the Clausura 2014 season of LIGA Bancomer MX where they reached the quarterfinals of the tournament. They also participated in the CONCACAF Champions League where they reached the semifinals round and were eliminated by the eventual champion of the competition Cruz Azul.

"We have complete a good season" said team manager Cesar Farias in the official press release "We had some important results and we competed at a high level. But this club does not rest on its laurels and looks to achieve bigger and better things. We are already looking ahead to next season."

Argentine striker Dario Benedetto mentioned on his Twitter account that he was on his way home. "Rumbo a Bs As.. Con @noeliapons …" (On my way to Bs As [Buenos Aires, Argentina] )

The squad is due back at the Mexico-USA border on Wednesday June 4th to start the initial stages of preseason. The club will be completing in the Apertura 2014 season of LIGA Bancomer MX as well as the Apertura 2014 Copa MX. Due to their international competitions Xolos have missed out on the last three Copa MXs.
