Inspired by the PBS/KBPS program "Crossing South", the 1st edition of Crossing South Festival - Baja Wine + Food + Travel, an event that will combine the gastronomy and culture of Baja California, will take place on August 24, 2024 from 1 PM to 4 PM in Liberty Station.

The only TV show of its kind openly promoting Baja California for more than a decade is currently airing its 13th season on KPBS San Diego with 30 episodes in national syndication in the US on PBS and CreateTV.

This festival will bring the culinary and cultural scene of Baja directly to southern California's markets. With renowned chefs such as Marcelo Hisaki of Amores, David Alarcón of Fuego Santo, and Javier Caro of La Justina Del Valle/Oja, this festival will provide a dynamic culinary journey through the flavors of Baja.

Attendants will be able to enjoy perfectly made dishes that reflect the creativity of chefs and their interpretation of regional classics.

Besides gastronomic excellence, visitors will be able to enjoy a diverse selection of wines and liquors from renowned wineries and distilleries, including Monte Xanic, Corona Del Valle, Cerveza Transpeninsular, Mezcal Los Javis, and La María Tequila.

This celebration will also feature several different artists who will perform live music during the event. The goal of Crossing South Festival - Baja Wine + Food + Travel is to be a new yearly platform that connects the unique hospitality and destination experiences of Baja California with southern California.
