The president of the Committee of Tourism and Conventions (COTUCO) of Playas de Rosarito, César Rivera González, announced that the traditional Paseo Ciclista Rosarito-Ensenada (Rosarito-Ensenada Bicycle Ride) will come back in September 2024, which will surely delight the thousands of cycling fans that exist in both sides of the border and the whole region.

Rivera González stated that after several weeks of talks, negotiations were concluded with this famous cycling event's organizers, which is why it is now official that the Rosarito-Ensenada Bicycle Ride will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

"This is extraordinary news for the cycling community from both sides of the border and the whole region that every year has participated in this event. It is world famous because it is a 50-mile ride full of fun that begins in Playas de Rosarito and ends in the port of Ensenada," he said.

He highlighted that it is also very good news for the entire tourism industry of Playas de Rosarito due to this event's positive projection of its destination and the economic revenue that the thousands of participants will generate.

"We are very happy because after a year of not happening, Latin America's biggest cycling festival is taking place on September 28. We will celebrate the 45th anniversary of this emblematic event," Rivera González underscored.

Lastly, the President of COTUCO Playas de Rosarito thanked the support of the 9th Municipal Administration of Playas de Rosarito, led by mayor Araceli Brown Figueredo, as well as the Secretariat of Tourism of the State (SECTURE), led by Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, for helping to conclude negotiations in good terms so that this event could take place.

In addition, there was support from Hugo Torres Ramírez, state executive and CEO of Hotel Rosarito, the venue that launches this event, and the good willingness by Claudia Ley and Guillermo Rodríguez, representatives of the Rosarito-Ensenada Bicycle Ride.
