Supermarket Soriana, located at Bulevar Agua Caliente, will be demolished to build a Westin Hotel Tijuana.
This hotel chain that belongs to Marriot International Inc. and Global Design will have one location in our city, in front of Recta de la Chapu.
This Westin Hotel will have 22 stories and four subterranean parking lots, which is why it is one of this area's most ambitious vertical projects. Its goal is to aid the growth of the lodging industry and the needs of the market that need to be covered.
According to website Construdata 21, the demolition of Soriana was scheduled for February 2024, but so far, no progress has been made. Since this is a project that is currently in a bidding process, where project licenses are given and the project's financing is being searched for, the delay of this project could take months.
