Marina del Pilar remarks that Baja California has the best wage conditions in Mexico

Mexicali and Tijuana are among the top 5 cities with the best monthly wages, according to the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda highlighted that Mexicali and Tijuana are among the top 5 cities with the best monthly wages in Mexico with $12,171 pesos and $12,059 pesos, respectively, according to the Urban Competitiveness Index of the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness (IMCO). This also represents a direct impact in the quality of life of families and a substantial improvement in the economy of this region.

The state governor highlighted the wage conditions in Baja California that are in constant growth as well as the boost that the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has given to the wages of the working class nationwide, especially in the border area.

"We work every day with synergy in the education and business sectors to strengthen our workers and make them more competitive in a market that has become even more complex. These results motivate us to keep putting our heart above all to achieve wellbeing for all Baja Californians, especially for those who need it the most as dictated by the principles of the Fourth Transformation," she said.

According to IMCO; Mexicali is the city with more than 1 million inhabitants with the best monthly salary in the country as the other cities in the list have less population. This is due to the work that the government of Baja California and the government of Mexico have carried out to boost investments and strengthen employers so that the productive sector grows with short, medium, and long term projects.
