Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda marked a significant milestone as she inaugurated the construction of Parque Industrial Natura. This forward-thinking project is poised to reshape southeastern Tijuana by fostering economic growth, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for thousands of families throughout Baja California.
At the event, the governor emphasized the significance of this initiative, a collaboration between Grupo Musa and Grupo Ruba that embraces a comprehensive development model. "Parque Industrial Natura will generate economic growth, create jobs, and enhance the well-being of thousands of families," stated Governor Marina del Pilar.
This project will span more than 180 hectares and include:
More than 24 industrial warehouses.
Helping to meet the growing demand for space in the maquiladora industry.
A crucial driving force for the state's economy.
"We are meeting the demands of the maquiladora industry and, simultaneously, creating thousands of direct jobs," the governor said.
The Desarrollo Natura model combines housing, educational, and commercial spaces in an integrated environment, decreasing distances between home, work, and essential services. This approach strengthens community coexistence, bolsters a sense of belonging, and creates authentic social tissue that will increase the quality of life of Tijuana natives.
In her speech, Governor Marina del Pilar recalled that Baja California's economic growth can be seen in the more than 5.3 billion dollars invested by direct foreign sources and the state's financial and wage growth leadership among Mexico's northern states.
The governor also highlighted that this type of project aligns with the State Housing Program, which has increased access to adequate housing across the state. "Our challenge is to carry out 100,000 housing actions during our administration so that no Baja Californian family is left without a proper place to live. We know this very well in this administration: economic development can never again be separated from social and environmental well-being like in the past," she said.
The Parque Industrial Natura project symbolizes the state government and private sector's commitment to creating a Baja California where economic development and social justice can advance together.
The governor concluded her speech by reiterating that these investments are crucial to transforming the state. With projects like Parque Industrial Natura, Baja California reaffirms its position as a national leader in innovation, sustainability, and comprehensive development.
