According to the latest data by pollster Avanza, the mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero leads public opinion for the upcoming 2024 elections.

According to this poll, 58.2% of people polled prefer the reelection of Montserrat over aspiring MORENA candidate, Erik "Terrible" Morales, who was only approved by 25.4%.

Recently, the State Electoral Institute of Baja California (IEEBC) left the genre decision open for the mayor's office of Tijuana, which is why the party itself will decide the next candidate for 2024.

Montserrat Caballero took office in Tijuana on October 1, 2021, being the first democratically elected woman and, at the same time, the one who received the most votes in this city.
