A delegation of PROBAJA, supported by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation (SEI) and several different Councils of Economic Promotion from Mexicali, Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada, are participating in the World Forum of Medicine: MEDICA in Germany and an event to boost strategic sectors such as life sciences, semiconductors, and mobility in the Netherlands and Ireland which will take place from today to November 24, according to Secretary Kurt Honold Morales.

The delegation will visit the aforementioned countries as a follow up to the embassy and commercial offices of "Roadshow CDMX" which took place in October, 2023. In addition, there was also the establishment of a representation office in the German Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAMEXA) in Baja California and Governor Marina del Pilar's first tour in Germany in 2022.

The Subsecretary of Investment Management of SEI, Rodolfo Andrade Pelayo, stated that besides attracting important investments in the state, this agenda is looking to strengthen the presence of Baja California as an investment destination in the world.

The agenda begins with MEDICA, the world's most important fair on medical devices and biotechnology which gathers more than 81,000 attendants. Subsequently, the delegation will meet with more than 35 companies in the Netherlands and the Bavaria region in Germany.

Lastly, they will participate in the First Economic and Business Forum between Ireland, Latin America, and the Caribbean, organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Ireland and the Forum of Knowledge of Market Opportunities and Supply Network of Latin America summoned by Enterprise Ireland.

The following people will be participating: from SEI, the director of investment promotion, Ana Paula Corona and the coordinator of investment promotion, Miguel Ángel Olivares; from economic promotion agencies: from Mexicali EDC, director of promotion Aarón Álvarez, and coordinator of promotion Alma López; from Tijuana EDC, commercial director Alfredo Ángeles and promotion coordinator Lorelei Gudiño; from Ensenada EDC, director of promotion Kennya Vargas and counselor Mario Peregrina; lastly from Tecate EDC, director of promotion Iván Villanueva and promoter Ricardo López.
