A tragic incident took place at the San Ysidro port of entry last Thursday, September 14. At around 3:05 PM, it was reported that a K9 from the human narcotic detector dog (HNDD) unit attacked a traveler's pet that was crossing the border at the secondary inspection area.

According to what CBP has told San Diego Red, the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) at CBP has begun an exhaustive investigation about this incident.
