Today, mayor Montserrat Caballero was present at a conference given by Tatiana Clouthier called "Visión de la Economía de México en el mundo post covid" (Economic Vision of Mexico in the Post-Covid World) where she highlighted that Tijuana is the fourth most important economy in the country.
In the presence of the vice-dean of Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), Haydee Gómez Llanos Juárez and students of the Faculty of Economy and International Relations (FEYRI), the mayor highlighted the importance of the border city not only nationally but worldwide.
Though the mayor was a special guest and audience member, some of the questions were directed at her, as she offered alternative programs such as Fondos Tijuana, delivered through the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDETI).
Caballero Ramírez highlighted that in this secretariat, students and entrepreneurs have access to credits which can even end up as loss fund or the programs and services provided freely by the Municipal Institute of Youth (IMJUV) where young people can win scholarships, computers, or a space to support themselves throughout their career.
The former Secretary of the Economy of the current federal government told the young people present that, after the pandemic, more growth opportunities were opened for Mexico and recommended, after she was asked for advice, to always take the riskiest decision and to not limit yourself. .RELATED VIDEO: Mayor Monsterrat Caballero inspects pothole repair work in Tijuana
