The Municipal Sports Institute (Imdet), under instructions from the Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Patricia Ruiz Macfarland, who wants to promote sports in the community, reopened the facilities of the Sports Unit El Mirador.

The director of Imdet, María Antonieta Gómez Gómez, highlighted the work of the competent authorities, since their efforts have given citizens the opportunity to make use of their areas again.

"We are especially grateful to all those who participated in the reopening of this beautiful unit, because without their dedication it would not have been possible to offer the people recreational spaces to practice the disciplines of their choice, always prioritizing their wellbeing," said the director of the municipality, visibly moved.

The Saturday activities, which represented the return of sports practice to the unit, were carried out through fast soccer, basketball, skateboarding and physical activation games.

Starting at 8:00 a.m., users gathered to make use of the facilities located on Bahia de la Paz Avenue in the El Mirador neighborhood of the Playas de Tijuana Delegation.

The sports unit has fast soccer fields, basketball courts, a skateboard park, jogging track, children's playground and multipurpose rooms, which are ready for citizens to practice their disciplines.
