Get ready for Sabor a Playas! Restaurants from the area are going to meet up!

25 restaurants will participate to cover all tastes! Free of charge entry on Saturday, September 7.

“Sabor a Playas”, is the gastronomy festival that will take place next Saturday, September 7, on Avenida Pacífico, at the entrance of Playas de Tijuana´s boardwalk. The idea is to bring many restaurants together.

Miguel Ángel Badiola Montaño, the head of Canirac BC, stressed that the objective of this event is to publicize the gastronomic offer offered by the Playas de Tijuana area and for all Tijuana people to get to know these restaurants.

"Events are always organized in Playas, but with restaurants from other areas of the city, not necessarily from Playas, so the idea is to show what the restaurant community in this area has to offer," he said.

Edgar Villegas, the event coordinator, mentioned that there are about 175 restaurants, cafes and bars in Playas de Tijuana area, from the border with United States to the second access.

"The objective is to promote the gastronomic potential of Playas de Tijuana, so that people come to know the different proposals, where 25 restaurants will participate," he said.

The event will begin at 12 noon, with both food and beverage stands, and with a complete musical program in which Uriel Guzmán, Cobián, Samantha Rae, Drea, Zizumbo, Grooveland and DJ Priscila Gzz will participate, who comes from Mexico City.

"We will take the opportunity to promote the gastronomic route of Playas de Tijuana as well as the dissemination of the non-use of disposable products," said Julio Rodríguez, partner of Alga Bien and La Cerve.

He said that restaurant workers are aware of the importance of fostering a culture of recycling and caring for the environment, avoiding using materials such as plastic and foam for single use, due to the pollution problem they generate, mainly on the beaches.

To conclude, the organizers of the “Sabor a Playas” event extended the invitation to the population to attend this September 7 at the entrance of Playas de Tijuana boardwalk, said event entry is free of charge.
