Governor Marina del Pilar and Director of Infonavit inaugurate new assistance offices in Tijuana

With these new facilities located in Plaza Monarca, easy access to housing in the municipality of Tijuana is expected

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, reiterated her commitment to guaranteeing access to housing in Baja California alongside the general director of Infonavit Mexico, Carlos Martínez Velázquez, with the inauguration of new offices of the Center of Infonavit Services (CESI) for Tijuana, Tecate, and Rosarito.

The new location of this federal government agency in Plaza Monarca of the Cerro Colorado delegation has a lot of space and it is completely equipped, which will allow people to carry out procedures much easier and with shorter traveling times.

"One of the main challenges that existed in the state is housing at low prices, because real estate companies forgot about housing for all workers, and we decided to create the State Housing Plan which has become an example nationwide and the only one in the country," the state governor said during the official opening ceremony.

She reiterated that the president's support for Baja California has allowed Infonavit to reach San Quintín to benefit all workers who need it and also means that during the presidency of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, housing will also be built in Baja California.

The General Director of Infonavit, Carlos Martínez Velázquez, stated that with this inauguration, in which 14 million pesos were invested, the Institute ratifies its commitment to make these services available for Baja Californians to help them to build their properties.

He highlighted that Baja California is the only state that has a Housing State program with clear goals, investment goals that no other state has, and during President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's six-year term, 53 million pesos were invested for several different credits.

"In these facilities, where space was doubled, we improved accessibility conditions and strengthened services. 500 people will be assisted every day, fulfilling our promise that our president asked of us to always be where our people are," he explained.

In Baja California there are more than 600,000 workers that pay contributions to this institute who will be able to have access to this Infonavit Service Center (CESI) in the eastern zone.

The official launch of CESI Tijuana was used to delivered 40 free mortgage cancellations, 30 Mejoravit credit cards available to improve or renovate homes, 20 mortgage credits, and 10 late deeds.
