Governor Marina del Pilar attends community meeting in Guadalupe Victoria

These meetings will take place in 53 state zones where several agencies will participate

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda led a community meeting with residents of Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria in Valle de Mexicali to promote the wellbeing of citizens in Baja California in order to assist the most remote areas who require priority assistance.

During this community meeting, where more than 600 people attended, the state governor explained that this program's goal is to decrease the inequality gaps and take care of those who have the least, which is the fundamental pillar of Fourth Transformation governments.

"We certainly have a lot to do, because a lot of things were abandoned in previous years, and even with all the efforts and the historic investments we have made in the state, we still have big challenges. But the good news is that the 2nd floor of the Fourth Transformation is being built, and that is how President Andrés Manuel López Obrador helped us, and that is how president elect Claudia Sheinbaum will help us," she said.

Residents and neighbors spoke about their main needs before Governor Marina del Pilar, some of which are related to health, security, housing, and education matters, which were addressed and channeled to the appropriate agencies for their follow-up.

Marina del Pilar underscored that, with the federalization of health through the IMSS-Bienestar program, boosted by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, they are looking for health to become an accessible right for everyone, while also having more and better clinics, especially in rural areas.

"In these 53 regions, we are trying to address the issues regarding electricity, water, sewage, pavement, and the core of the community, which is sports units, cultural centers, and schools. We want a park where families can have fun, where they can do cultural activities in sports, recreational, and school areas," she explained.

The governor also announced the reactivation of the DIF funerary home located in the area, a frequent request by the inhabitants of the community and nearby areas, which represents a benefit for all citizens in Valle de Mexicali.

For his part, Nezahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillan, Secretary of Wellbeing, stated that they are looking to coordinate their work with all state and Mexicali administration agencies in order to address remaining issues with the residents of Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria.
