The emblematic store La Gatita, located in Plaza Río in Tijuana, will close its doors definitely next Sunday, September 9 after 44 years in business. Known for offering a wide variety of products by Hello Kitty and Sanrio, La Gatita became an iconic place for many generations of Tijuana natives.

Since its opening, La Gatita stood out for being the main provider of Sanrio items such as notebooks, cases, and other school accessories that defined many people's childhood and youth. In the last few years, the store had expanded its offerings to include more varied products, but always with its own unique charm.
