Keeping the promise made by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda for the wellbeing of education workers in Baja California, a debt payment for retirement insurance was authorized, guaranteeing justice to the demands of 663 beneficiaries.

Teachers are the ones who, after family, provide the tools for children and teenagers so that they can build all their dreams, Governor Ávila Olmeda said, which is why it is their priority to give them their labor benefits and provide dignity to their profession.

The state governor explained that last Friday, June 21, the Board of Directors of the Institute of Education and Pedagogic Services of Baja California approved the payment to settle retirement insurance, which will be made on June 28, 2024.

"This historic retirement insurance debt dates back to July 2020 and it will benefit 663 people that are part of the Section 2 National Education Workers' Union," the Secretary of Education of Baja California, Luis Gilberto Gallego Cortez, said.

This payment was achieved after talks were held in several meetings between the Secretariat of the Interior of Baja California, led by Alfredo Álvarez Cárdenas, the Secretariat of Education, and representatives of Section of the SNTE union in Baja California who recognized the governor's sensitivity due to her firm commitment with the Baja Californian union, Secretary Gallego Cortez said.

Lastly, Governor Marina del Pilar reiterated that this payment is part of a series of payments that have been yielding throughout her administration to address the just demands of the union in order to guarantee justice so as to continue building a social tissue full of peace and wellbeing.
