Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar exercises her right to vote

The state governor voted alongside citizens in Mexicali

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, exercised her right to vote in the morning of Sunday, June 2. She also called on citizens of the state to participate in this election, as this is a fundamental action for the democratic development of the state and the country.

The state governor voted alongside citizens of Mexicali and highlighted the relevance of the electoral campaign as it involves the highest number of people in the recent history of Mexico.

She also added that, alongside other governors that make up the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico and through a statewide Coordination Council, they are following up on all incidents that could occur during today's election.

The goal, she explained, is that there is no situation that puts the security of elections, voters, state officials, and candidates, as well as other electoral process participants, at risk.

She explained that, through a control center, they will be monitoring all incidents during the day in order to carry out the necessary operational actions through the three levels of government so that the election is peaceful for everyone.
