The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, supervised alongside the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the progress obtained so far in the main strategic infrastructure projects carried out by the government of Mexico in the state, which will boost development and wellbeing for the state's inhabitants.
Firstly, Marina del Pilar stated that the Otay II port of entry has a physical progress of 65% which will positively modify the workings of border crossings and will include important complementary projects such as the Bulevar Limón Padilla junction and the development of the customs headquarters.
On the other hand, she highlighted the significance that the Elevated Viaduct that goes from the Tijuana International Airport "Abelardo L. Rodríguez" to the Playas de Tijuana delegation will have for mobility as it will significantly decrease citizens' traveling times.
She explained that the state government finalized road rights in the area where the viaduct will go through, after a legal process that lasted several months which allowed for the free development of this infrastructure project.
Lastly, the governor stated that there is significant progress in restoration actions for the San Antonio de los Buenos wastewater sanitation plant which, among others, represents a definitive solution to the pollution of the Pacific Ocean in the binational environment.
In addition, she added the importance that SEDENA has made progress regarding the equipment of the plant so that it begins operations in the upcoming months, addressing a historic demand of the residents of Tijuana.
Governor Marina del Pilar underscored the willingness of the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to carry out the proper investments and follow up on projects as these create conditions for the wellbeing of all Baja Californian families.

Brigade General Juvenal Cortés Gonzáles, Commander of the 2nd Military Zone; General Brigadier, Engineer Builder Raúl Manzano Vélez, Resident Engineering of the SEDENA Project, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign; Kurt Honold Morales, the Secretary of Economy and Innovation; Víctor Amador Barragán, the head of SEPROA; the Secretary of Wellbeing, Juan Francisco Garza Ceseña; and representatives from CFE, SICT, the municipal government, and other agencies.
